Many people are nervous about seeing a new doctor. There are so many questions! We’d like to answer many of them now, so you know what to expect.

Most of our patients come in with physical ailments, so this information is mostly for them. Some of the people that come to us only want to do emotional work. That’s fine too.
Patient History and Symptoms
We will have you fill out the downloadable forms before your first appointment. This will give you time to be thorough and accurate as the more information we have, the better we can help you. We’ll ask about your primary complaint, and also about your whole health picture as well as your social history.
You might be surprised how important these questions are to having you treated in the best way possible. We need to KNOW you in order to understand what is happening in your body and why.
The Exam
At Incarnate, we understand that sometimes what seems like a simple problem can have a deeper root. We’ll start with a basic chiropractic exam that includes the following:
-posture analysis
-range of motion
-orthopedic/neurologic tests
-muscle tone and strength
Most of our patients also receive a general physical exam as well that includes:
-height, weight, pulse, respiration and blood pressure
-eyes, ears, nose, sinuses and throat
-heart and lungs
-abdomen
-even male and female exams are available if necessary-we can even do your yearly Pap!
Diagnostics
Seeing what is happening on the inside of your body goes a long way to being able to diagnose your condition accurately. We use blood, urine, stool and hair to find the real cause of your symptoms.
Dr. Kim isn’t just looking for pathology. She also is looking for dysfunction. Too often, blood work comes back “normal” when you still feel lousy. At Incarnate, we use a homeostatic analysis of your results to find patterns of dysfunction so that you can always be feeling your best.
